CHILE: Continuing Quakes Shake-up Santiago's Dreams.

LATIMES/   Massive damage from one of the strongest earthquakes in modern history has demoralized the 1 million people in the Santiago region. The city is a major manufacturing, petro-chemical, trade hub and center of forestry, fishing and agriculture. It also ranks as an intellectual center, home to half a dozen major universities and arts scene. That is changing. "What we see now is an almost universal sense of abrupt uncertainty," said psychiatrist Marcela Rodriguez,"People [who] come to us are suffering from a kind of post-traumatic stress."
