UKRAINE: Controversial Famine Statue Demolished.

A statue in Kiev's main square of Hryhoriy Petrovsky, the Communist leader considered to be responsible for the famine that killed 7-10 million Ukrainians in the early 1930s, has been demolished just days before Ukraine commemorates the victims of the famine, known as the Holodomor (genocide).
