MEXICO: 107 Slave Laborers Rescued In D.F.

Police rescued 107 people, most of them Indians, held captive and forced to work 16 hours a day at a drug rehab in the borough of Iztapalapa in Mexico City. Twenty-three people were arrested for human trafficking. "The victims lived in subhuman, overcrowded, unhealthy conditions and in conditions of extreme mistreatment and sexual exploitation,” the DA office said.
