BRASIL: Imposing Control In The Amazon.

For decades the government has been virtually nonexistent in the Amazon, allowing illegal land seizures. But with a new law, the government is trying to impose order on lawless lands, limiting deforestation and the climate change that may come with it.
But clear ownership records exist for less than 4% of the land in private hands throughout the Amazon.
