VENEZUELA: Growing Public Outcry Over Power, Water Shortages.

The deterioration of public services is angering many because people were used to cheap, plentiful electricity and water. Economists say a combination of negligence and poor planning have caused the shortages, while other electricity projects, including several built in recent years fueled by natural gas, remain completely or partly idle.
