POLAND: Foreign Minister Demands Bases Manned With U.S. Troops.

Poland's Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski, alarmed by a recent Russian military exercise, wants more US military on Polish soil. "We would like to see US troops stationed in Poland to serve as a shield against Russian aggression," he said. A Russian spokesman said "Cold War reflexes are still alive in Warsaw." Another said "It is better to ask the World Health Organisation for an assessment of Mr Sikorski's words."
