CUBA: Hot Exchanges In U.S. Congress Over End To Travel Ban.

LAHT/
The first meeting since 2007 of the House Foreign Affairs Committee to discuss travel to Cuba had intense exchanges. Florida Rep.Ileana Ros-Lehtinen was “offended” by retired Gen. Barry McCaffrey, who supports an increase in direct contacts with Cuba. McCaffrey then replied that he was “offended” by the lawmaker that he sympathizes with Castro and said flatly that Cuba is no threat to U.S. national security.
