In a break from his predecessor Vladimir Putin, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev attacked those seeking to reshape the reputation of former Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin. Millions of Soviet citizens died under Stalin's rule and Medvedev said it was wrong to justify those who exterminated their own people. He also warned against efforts to falsify history and defend repression.
