When President Felipe Calderon Calderón tookover the inefficient central electric company and fired 44,000 workers two weeks ago, he promised better service. But across the city and suburbs, the power continues to flicker out. Most Mexicans loathed the company and wait to see which entrenched faction Calderon will take on next.
