Tourism was Honduras's economic driver but since the coup it has fallen 70%. The 7% increase projected for 2009 is now expected to be negative. And the 155,000 Hondurans employed by the tourism industry are, in the words of deposed Tourism minister Ricardo MartÃnez, "suffering violently."
