Brasil's August Retail Sales Rise... By 4.7%...For 4th Consecutive Month.

Brasil’s retail sales rose for the fourth consecutive month in August.
Retail sales rose 4.7 percent in August from the prior year. That compares with a 6 percent increase in July from the same month in 2008.
Sales rose 0.7 percent from a month earlier, below the 0.8 percent median forecast by 20 analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.
