Poles eat out less frequently than other EU citizens. An average Frenchman spends 900 euro a year in restaurants and a Czech averages 350 euro. But a Pole spends only 100 euro in food outlets.
The financial crisis has curbed eating out spending in Poland even more. And Poles are choosing fast food restaurants. Ikea serves cheap Swedish meals and has grown by 10%.
McDonald’s, Burger King and KFC have also become popular among Poles.
